One really incredible thing about this museum, that I haven't experienced from any other, is that it never gets old; the energy is somehow retained. In fact, the experience progressively gets better(although, you kinda can't beat the first experience). One has to go to the museum more than once. The experience is incredible when you go alone, however it is also incredible when you go with others too because you get to see their response to it. Magical is what it is... magical.
Storm King is hands down the best sculpture park I have been to so far. I haven't been to many but I have a feeling that there aren't many that can compare. The park is vast and also in an extremely wonderful location (doesn't hurt that the leaves were changing for the fall). I looooovvvveeeddd how I was able to get so close to a monumental sculpture -- to be able to get to such an intimate proximity, and all the while I was able to experience the monumentality of the earth... the sculptures weren't quite so massive anymore.
